Getting involved is easy:
- Download a PDF of the play THE SUBJECT by clicking here.
- Host a public reading of the play.
- After the reading, hold a discussion about sexual assault issues and how the community can work together to end violence.
That’s it! The play readings are being held in theatres, libraries, universities, dorms, etc… it can be as formal or informal as you wish.
Groups will share posts and photos from their reading on our social media pages to connect to the larger movement.
Why do this?
The Subject Project sparked after the outrage of the six-month sentence of the Brock Turner case. People wanted to come together to raise awareness of sexual assault issues and protest lenient rape sentences. This movement shines a light on these subjects and unites people who are taking positive action to end violence.
